Banksman
Used in a wide variety of situations, banksmen or vehicle marshalls are an integral part of safe reversing and manoeuvring procedures.
With the training to be able to fully understand the legal responsibilities of a vehicle marshall, recognised practices and recognised hand signals you'll be setting your team up to be the safest they possibly can when manoeuvring vehicles.
Who is this for?
This course is designed for anyone who is responsible for, or involved in, the safe movement of vehicles and mobile plant within a workplace.
It is particularly suitable for employees who act as a vehicle banksman, reversing assistant, traffic marshal or yard marshal, including those working on construction sites, in warehouses, factories, depots, yards and other workplaces where vehicle movements take place.
The course is suitable for both new and experienced banksmen who want to develop their knowledge, improve their practical skills and ensure they are able to direct vehicle movements safely and effectively.
It is also useful for employers and site managers who need to ensure that personnel involved in vehicle movements understand the risks associated with reversing vehicles, pedestrian interaction and workplace traffic.
