Terms & Conditions

CoLa Training Services Ltd.

Terms & conditions for supply of services

  • Provisional bookings for courses will be held for 7 days. If not confirmed within that time period then the date may not be held over, if needed for other course provision.

  • We will confirm course bookings either by e mail or post, within 7 days of you booking a course via verbal, e-mail or written communication. At this point a 50% deposit will become payable, or full payment (100%) if this falls within 7 days of course start date.

  • Prices are fixed at time of confirmation and are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate at the time of invoice.

  • A course may be subject to minimum and / or maximum trainee numbers. When this is the case minimum course cost will be trainee rate multiplied by minimum trainee number, even if this is not achieved.

  • Our standard cancellation charges policy shall apply at all times. This is: cancellation with more than 28 days’ notice – no charge, deposit refunded. Cancellation 28 – 14 days prior to course date – 50% course cost. Deposit non refundable. Cancellation less than 14 days prior to course date – 100% cost. Postponement of courses to alternative date(s) – 50% of course cost. PLEASE NOTE: Cancellation of any booking must be made in writing, either by e mail or post. The above cancellation policy will then be applied.

  • In the event of a trainee failing to attend a confirmed course, or arriving after the scheduled start time, the full cost will still be payable. Due consideration may be given for failure to attend because of extenuating circumstances, where these are beyond the trainees control. Please note, we reserve the right to refuse trainees access to a course where they arrive late, this is at our sole discretion.

  • Payment to be made by BACS, cheque or credit/debit card within 14 days of invoice date or, in any case, 7 days prior to any course start date, unless agreed otherwise in writing. Late payment will be subject to interest, charged at 8% per month (calculated on a daily basis until payment is received in full). Late payment is classed as 14 days after the due date and interest will be payable from the due date.

  • Any queries on invoices must be made in writing within 7 days of invoice date, either by post or receipted e mail.

  • Facilities for ‘on site’ courses must be appropriate, sufficient and adequate to allow professional training to be undertaken, e.g. adequate toilet facilities, carpeted floor area for First Aid training, adequate area for driving practise/assessment, suitable legally compliant equipment. A full list of facilities required, for any course booked, can be supplied upon request.

  • Qualification certificates will not be issued until cleared payment is received in full.

  • For any qualification course trainees should bring any previous certificate(s) for the relevant qualification. Failure to provide these may result in training not being given.

  • It is the customers responsibility to ensure that all learners are physically fit and sufficiently mentally equipped to operate a powerful machine safely, understand potential risks and are able to recognise the equipment’s limitations and potential dangers. Guidance can be obtained from the Employment Medical Advisory Service. The course instructor will have the final decision in the event of a learner appearing to not have the above and necessary capabilities.
