Course Lengths:

Novice course - 1 day (for 4 trainees)

Experienced operators - 1 day (limited experience)

Experienced operators - 1 day (held certificate previously)

Refresher course - 1 day (renewing in-date certificate 4 trainees)

Refresher course - 1/2 day (renewing in-date certificate up to 3 trainees)

Course Content:

Theory -

Safe operating practices and environmental impacts

Practical -

Pre-use inspections

Parts of a forklift and use of controls

Basic manoeuvring (starting, stopping & turning)

Negotiating confined areas

Working to different heights (including manoeuvring whilst elevated)
